A beautiful 1960s Bucherer “Disco Volante” ultra thin in 18k yellow gold featuring a very unique linen dial and a fluted / sun ray bezel.
A timeless elegant design also made famous by Audemars Piguet and other high end brands of the time.
The case measures 33mm without crown, 38mm lug to lug, 6mm thick with a 18mm lug width.
The linen dial has gold applied indexes at 3-6-9-12 and black lines for the other hours.
The inner case back shows the reference 575 and the hammer head mark of Rubattel & Weyermann in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Two other gold marks can be found on the lugs
It is powered by a manual wind caliber Aurore Villeret 423 measuring only 2.8mm thick. It runs and keeps time. The service history is unknown.
The back has some light scratches that can be easily polished out if desired.
It comes on an unworn Bucherer signed leather strap as well as a signed gold buckle (no gold markings). The strap is probably from the 1980s.
