A nice and rare early Certina DS “Patent Pending” from the first year of production of this famous model (1959-1960)

The rare features of this early series are a flat case back (later with the turtle) and dauphine hands (later baton)

The case measures 36mm without crown, 45mm lug to lug, 13mm thick with a 18mm lug width.

It is powered by an automatic in-house caliber Certina 25-451 with 23 jewels. The movement has been fully serviced in 2022 and is running very well.
