A beautiful Piaget Protocole ultra thin reference 17864 in full 18k white gold.
The watch was purchased new in 1993 in Geneva, Switzerland and the following year a special matching bracelet, also made in 18k gold, was ordered at the same retailer resulting in a unique configuration for this reference usually sold on leather strap.
The watch was acquired from the estate of the first owner. It has only been worn in special occasions and never restored or polished. It does show some micro scratches but is in an overall excellent condition.
The bezel and the dial both are finished with a straight guillochage playing with the light beautifully (hard to display on pictures)
The minimalist yet deeply interesting dial is complimented by a pair of polished dauphine hands.
The crown is signed.
The back, held with 4 screws, shows the gold hallmarks and the references.
The custom fitting bracelet is in excellent condition and measures about 20cm long (total with watch) with 3 settings on the clasp. Is it also possible to replace it with a regular leather strap as the bracelet is not integrated but fitted on regular lugs.
The case measures 31mm without crown, 35.5mm lug to lug, 4mm thick with a 18mm lug width.
It is powered by a quartz calibre Piaget 19P nicely decorated. It runs well. The service history is not known.
It comes with box and papers. Please note that the inner box is made of a material that degrades with time and should ideally not be used.
