A very interesting tuning fork watch from the 1970s sold by Solvil & Titus but actually made by Omega.
This is the story:
Solvil acquired cases made by Omega from their F300hz series watches. They removed the engraving on and in the case back and fitted their own dial with the same Mosaba tuning for movement that Omega uses (but the silver version). This is further confirmed by the Omega crystal (all of these models I’ve owned came with an Omega signed crystal) as well as the filed down crowns to remove the Omega logo (also seen on others pieces, both in the steel and the gold variant)
The watch is in very good condition for the age.
Stainless steel case
Blue tapestry dial
Applied silver and white indexes with matching hands
Date
Screwed back
New suede light brown leather strap
The case measures 35mm without crown, 41mm lug to lug, 11mm thick with a 18mm lug width.
It is equipped with a tuning fork caliber ESA 9162 “Mosaba”. It runs and keeps time. The service history is unknown.
